Ingredietns

  • Pork Shoulder

Dry Rub

  • 1 TBS Cumin
  • 1 TBS Garlic Powder
  • 1 TBS Onion Powder
  • 1 TBS chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne
  • 1 TBS Salt
  • 1 TBS Ground Pepper
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 TBS paprika

Brine

  • 2 Quarts Water
  • 1/2 Cup Salt
  • 1/2 Brown Sugar
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 3 TBS Dry Rub
  • 1/2 Cup Onion, Chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic

Instructions

  1. Add salt to cold water in large pot and stair until dissolved. Add brown sugar, dry rub, bay leaves, onion and garlic.
  2. Place pork shoulder into large pot, covering with brine solution. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours. Remove pork shoulder and pat dry
  3. Sprinkle dry rub on all sides. Wrap and refrigerate 8 hours.
  4. In a shallow baking dish, place pork roast fat side up.
  5. Bake in 225 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours per pound.
  6. Ahred roast and add favorite bbq sauce
