Baked Penne
A twist on traditional spaghetti, using penne and whole sausage rings.
Ingredients
- olive oil, as needed
- 1 polish sauasge, sliced
- 3 bell peppers, assorted colors, sliced
- 16oz penne pasta
- 32 oz store-bought tomato sauce or Grandpa Dave's Italian Red Sauce(without sweet sausage)
- 8 oz shredded mozzerlla
- 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Cook pasta according to package instructions
- In skillet, brown sausage links in a bit of olive oil.
- Remove sausage links and put bell peppers in. Cook until soft and sweet.
- Add in spaghetti sauce and heat to a simmer
- in large baking dish, combine sausage and spaghetti/pepper mixture with cooked penne pasta
- Top with cheese and bake 20 minutes
